We’ll spend time exploring our tight spots and where we might get stuck or rigid in our riding position. Enhancing awareness of these areas will provide clarity and comfort to our equine partners. We’ll spend plenty of time relaxing into stretches and holding gently to help the muscles let go. Then practice some movements to become aware of our own natural crooked places and practice some alignment ideas.
We’ll then explore specific poses to improve proprioception, balance and using our energy effectively so that we may give the most subtle cues to our horses. We’ll work on finding ease and softness while challenging ourselves to engage in core activation and balance in all orientations (standing, sitting, side, prone, supine). You’ll leave with ideas for daily exercises to keep the awareness going and help you get softer and more sensitive to your position. This workshop will be great for you if:
